Your Future with Chemistry

This is your opportunity to learn about careers paths in Chemistry. Hear from Chemistry graduates about their careers in materials, pharmaceuticals, agrichemicals and more. Speakers for the event will be confirmed in due course. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how you can use your Chemistry degree and ask Chemistry graduates any careers related questions that you have. This could include the realities of their job, how they decided this is what they wanted to work as, what work experience they got at university, did they have to do a PhD etc.

Whether you have not yet thought about your future career, have some career ideas, or want to learn more about a specific role to write an effective application join Fusion, the School of Chemistry and the Careers Service for this presentation and networking event; our speakers will remember how it feels to be a student thinking about your future career!

This event will start with short presentations from each of our panel members, introducing their career path and explaining how they got to where they are now from an undergraduate Chemistry degree. You'll then have the opportunity to ask our panel questions before speaking with them one-to-one in the informal networking session. The event is timetabled as follows:

5pm: Arrival
5.30pm: Welcome from Fusion
5.30pm - 6.30pm: Mini presentations and panel Q&A
6.30pm - 8pm: Networking (outside LT1)

Tickets for the event are limited to 100. Please book your place.

Food will be provided during the networking session (all dietary requirements catered for).
