Professor Andrew Orr-Ewing – Meet the Lecturer
This week we'll be meeting Professor Andrew Orr-Ewing, Head of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, and another fantastic lecturer.

"I have worked in the School of Chemistry for more than 25 years, and I am currently Head of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry. My research interests lie in understanding the mechanisms of chemical reactions. To explore the mechanisms and rates, my research group uses advanced laser spectroscopy methods and quantum chemistry calculations. The outcomes are important for a better understanding of the chemistry of the Earth’s atmosphere, and for unravelling photochemical pathways in organic chemistry."
Click the "Get involved" button to register your interest and/or submit a question now! Or head to our Instagram (@fusionchemsoc) on Wednesday for a chance to send in your questions via our story - otherwise you'll be able to ask questions live during the Zoom webinar.
Save the date - you don't want to miss this. (If you're a second year, thinking about research projects, maybe Andrew might interest you?!)
Alcohol may be consumed by the presenters but there is limited audience participation at this event.
This event is accessible to all.
